Wheat Ridge offers a variety of grant programs to enable inspired leaders to make an impact in their community through new and innovative health and human care projects. We currently support over 70 programs in 22 states and 7 countries!

  • Joshua Grants are one year matching grants of $1,000- $5,000 to Lutheran congregations, organizations, and agencies committed to launching new ministries of health and hope in their community. This grant application has a rolling deadline with grants awarded quarterly.
  • Burst Project Grants are one-time grants of up to $5,000 for a human care ministry project designed and led by young adult leaders in the Lutheran community. This grant application has a rolling deadline with grants awarded quarterly.
  • The GrantsPlus Program funds new health and human care ministries sponsored by congregations, agencies and emerging nonprofit organizations. Grant awards range from $5,000 to $50,000 over two to three years. Grant recipients will participate in capacity building opportunities to strengthen their program and organization.

Sabbatical Resources
Although Wheat Ridge Ministries has discontinued the Ministry Sabbatical Grants, Rev. Timothy Fangmeier, Congregational Consultant and Coach, as well as Wheat Ridge Staff Associate, is available to assist ministry leaders and churches in the formation of sabbatical guidelines, plans and funding issues. This is a service of Wheat Ridge Ministries. Email Rev. Fangmeier at tim@giftedpeople.org.
